Nottz “The 1ne” featuring The Alchemist
Here’s a pre-album leak from Nottz October 26, 2010 release “You Need This Music”. This joint is called the “The 1ne” featuring the Alchemist. Of course lyrics like, “…for that pity pat rap, f^ck you called that, I ought to punch you off the mother f^cking planet for that S#!t, Dude I ain’t playing, when I’m saying, you suckers need to start paying up…” are tight over a crazy drum track with a thick bass line to match.

P.Novakane – Self Titled Debut

Hailing from Crown Heights Brooklyn P.Novakane self titled debut album comes at the right time as another installment of emcees solidifying why New York is the birthplace and Mecca of Hip Hop music. With that in mind a true emcee is universal and Nov never compromises his roots as he kicks the right delivery over the perfect blend of beats of the time. With gritty head nodding tracks like Straight & Narrow, Novakane, Livin’ Thru Me, and In Ur City necks are sure to crack. Spending the last several year sin Florida Nov will not disappoint and clubs will keep Burnin’, Turn It Up, and We All In on heavy rotation. Dreamin’ and Sunset offers that smoothed out New York state of mind vibe that the games been thirsting for. Keeping it mellow Nov drops tracks like Me & U remix featuring Def Jam recording artist Unique, Love Song, and 4 Granted to keep the female listener satisfied. Showing his true writing skills on Suicide P.Novakane is a must have album.

Jay-Z – The Blueprint 3

Better late than never, let’s talk about The Blueprint III. If you don’t know by now Jay broke out the gate with 470+ thousand sales not included the numerous downloads prior to it’s release and is one of the hottest albums out right now. So instead of going on and on with a descriptive narrative I’m just going tell you my favorites. Of course the singles D.O.A., Run This Town, A Star Is Born, Empire State of Mind, and Venus Vs. Mars still get burn on the show. The other cuts to keep a ear out for that will be getting heavy rotation here are What We Talkin’ About, Thank You, Already Home, Reminder, and So Ambitious. 10 out of 15 ain’t bad in my book.

MC Lyte – The Jungle

MC Lyte drop’s another heater to follow up her early 2009 “Brooklyn” release. Again Lyte demonstrates again how the amount of past, present, and I will go as far as to say even future female emcees are far and few between which can equal or even out match her hard, elegant, and witty word play. “Jungle” is bar after bar a true Hip Hop fans appetizer. One straight verse no chorus but all that’s needed to make the track complete.
